Last Friday, at the Hafen-Klub Hamburg, we celebrated the farewell of Rainer Lange, who worked as a structural drafter in our Hamburg office for 46 years. It was not just a farewell, but also a celebration to thank him for his impressive career.

Rainer has been there in all stages towards digitalisation: from the drafting board and the first CAD workstations to 3D construction and the advent of BIM.

In his speech, our managing partner, Martin Grassl, expressed that Rainer had always been more than just a work colleague – he was also a friend and role model. Rainer’s enthusiasm was unrivalled: in 2009, for example, he postponed his trip to Cuba by one year in order to support the work in our office. We would like to thank him for 46 years of commitment, outstanding performance and for always sharing his knowledge. We will miss you, Rainer!
