Schnelsen tunnels on the A7
In the second half of April, eight inspectors of our structure management team carried out night-time structural inspections around the Schnelsen tunnel on the A7.
Using track-mounted and telescopic operating platforms, 24 traffic sign structures, 20 noise barriers of 5,000 m length in total, four bridge structures and the entire Schnelsen tunnel including portal structures and 550 m of retaining walls were inspected in both directions of the motorway.
For the H2 inspection (main inspection before the limitation period for warranty claims ends) according to DIN 1076 carried out by GRASSL, the equipment and personnel required was determined and coordinated in advance, so we were able to carry out the inspection without a hitch during the nightly traffic control measures.
